Photos
Since 2010.
I photograph everywhere, all the time, day and night. A great deal is still unpublished and undeveloped, but I do what I can to show the work: here, on Instagram, in books, and on Offbeat Japan.
Roughly the order it happened in.
Haikyo 廃墟
Where it started.
Buildings left to the weather: schools, hospitals, hotels, whole resorts. The chairs are often still out.

Then the whole country.
Everything here that is not a ruin: villages, coastline, mountains, and the small roads between them. Every one of the 47 prefectures.
More from Japan →Every prefecture, one by one.
Hokkaido
France
Then the other direction.
I photograph France when I’m home. It’s a different kind of looking: less discovery, more recognition.

And everywhere else.
Thailand, Taiwan, New Zealand, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Malaysia and more. The countries I’ve managed to get to, camera in hand.
